As 3rd in the top-list of weapons exporters Germany found a new lucrative field of business: don't just export the weapons, export the weapons factories - preferably to countries at war where most of the production is needed.

In 2011 a deal was bartered to do that in Algeria: build a tank factory. So far nothing new in this hypocritical 'world peace' scenario (please have a Miss America wave here). The real irony is that deal just got the go ahead in spite of the war going on in Algeria and in spite of serious doubts that the built tanks are not going to extremist countries - not that it still matters as it's extremists who are building the tanks.
