Black Lives Matter goes after Woodrow Wilson Posted by Peter Reidy on 11/18, 3:19pm
These people are just discovering Wilson's record on racial matters; libertarians and conservatives have known it all along. Goldberg's Liberal Fascism is a well-known source. Bartlett's Wrong on Race is another. The locus classicus is Woodward's The Strange Career of Jim Crow, which won a Pulitzer prize sixty years ago and has been a staple of introductory college history courses ever since. It doesn't claim to be a libertarian tract, but it's full of information libertarians can use to argue that racism is a species of collectivism and that we should thus expect collectivists to be drawn to it.
Note how the author of this news story hasn't grasped the point, either, and treats the Progressives' affinity for segregation and white supremacism as a puzzling anomaly.
