Another Exonoration - After 10 Years in a California Prison Posted by Adam Reed on 2/21, 2:08pm
Another DNA exonoration - this time after an innocent man spent 10 years in prison for a rape that he could not have committed. Cumulative statistics show that in cases in which DNA was available for re-examination, the false conviction rate in the US exceeds 1 in 30 - and there is no reason to believe that the false conviction rate in cases in which DNA evidence is NOT available, the false conviction rate is any different. The lack of apology from prosecutors is astounding - it is as though the whole prosecutorial profession were the province of sociopaths.
