| Don't watch this movie! I am warning everyone. This is the first film I have ever seen that I wanted to leave half-way through. The only thing that kept me from leaving was that I was there with a group of friends and my unflinching optimism that the film was about to end. This film has Quentin Tarantino as guest director. That should speak for itself. This film represents everything that is anathema to the spirit of SOLO. It revels only in violence and depravity. It rolls gleefully in muck. Even the heroes enjoy torturing their opponents before killing them. The concluding scene extols the virtue of self-sacrifice when an ex-cop (played by Bruce Willis) faced with a corrupt mayor hell-bent on revenge shoots himself through the head concluding: "An old man's life for that of a young woman. Fair trade." Just a twisted and sick film! Avoid it like the plague! | ||
