On the Beach
by Barry Kayton

Over the rocks, under a full moon sky
Side by side, hand in hand my love and I
Lay down to watch the shooting stars shoot by

The wind blew warm; the light shone bright that night
We knew we were alone and out of sight
So we shed our clothes which to me felt right

Over the rocks and sand the waves rolled in
My arms held the woman I thought I'd win
While she felt only the weight of our sin

The Milky Way shone out as clear as day
On our two bodies, wrapped as one we lay
And after we made love I heard her say

She felt our love had washed our sin away.
