In every story, Traynor has to solve mysteries ranging from phantom trains to ghost ships to the Bermuda Triangle to worldwide conspiracies of looters and religious fanatics. Over the course of the series, Traynor, his friends, and his employer, First American Corporation, accomplish many great things — like building skyscrapers, dams, and railroads — while keeping the world's transition to liberty on track. As far as I know, it may be the first series of explicitly capitalist mystery/adventure stories.
