|Steve, I know what "Talk on the Street" in the Wall Street Journal refers to. The point still stands. It is called "social ignorance" -- each person thinks that all other people know something that they do not. Do playboys really read Playboy? Does the President get his news from Time? I read the WSJ and IBD on occasion, too, but I know where I am in the food chain.|
As for "Miley Cyrus versus The Great Depression," has your life changed? Frankly, it took me a little longer to find another part-time job and I still could use a few more hours, so I am still looking -- as are a lot of other people here in southeast Michigan. But that has more to do with the continuing 30-year slide of the automotive industry and the consequences of taxation and regulation. (Pfizer pulled out of Ann Arbor, taking about 2700 jobs, 800 of them Ph.D.s.) The "mortgage crisis" (so-called) has little objective meaning.

Has anyone else had their life change? Jay Abbott is finding fewer clients for his boats. Anyone else?
No one has posted to the Gold topic, either. Does that mean that no one is interested... or is everyone quietly chortling over the price of gold.
So, Steve, do you have a favorite for the World Series? I mean, what is important, really?
