Eric, I trust you jest! Left-handers are often better sportsmen. The world would be poorer (and more boring) without them. Although right-handed, I still (in my thirties) need to make a conscious effort to think of which is left and right! Directions (of the A to B type) using compass directions on the other hand are immediately intuitive. So I guess I'm a closet "ambi".

Byron,

Obesity is also a pet-peeve of mine. Barring age or actual illness, girth/body mass index etc. is probably one of the best predictors of life expectancy in a wealthy society. However, smoking is probably next on the list, another peeve of mine.

Is it immoral though? I wouldn't pass that judgement. Smoke if it makes you happy. Eat if it makes you happy.

As a matter of interest, did AR ever pass judgement on her habit?

Jason, thanks for the comments.

Byron, I got the part where you disagreed that the risk differences were huge.  I was just adding that it's irrelevant on top of being questionable.

Eric, that was a great post.  Brilliant analogy.

BTW, Jason, great article!

Alec, are you accusing me of being biased? Sir, may I indignantly reply that I based my comment on nothing but the utmost objective standards? To accuse me of such tribalism...Well, spank me silly and call me Nancy. (Seriously, don't call me Nancy, though.)

So the spanking park's ok, Joe?  Though you probably shouldn't mention it around Alec.  He might ask you to reciprocate...

How is it that every thread eventually comes down to the issue of my spank-life?
