| | Casey,
What surprises me a great deal, in retrospect, was just how suddenly so much did "wash away." I mean, a sense of life is supposed to be an emotional sum, changing only after a "long process of psychological retraining, when and if a man changes his conscious philosophical premises," right? And yet, Atlas Shrugged provoked such a strong, immediate, positive emotional reaction in me, despite my premises having been so convoluted beforehand.
But 55, you say? Fahrenheit? Here in southern California, that sort of "heat" would have folks lounging around in mittens and down jackets. The pansies. ;)
