This was a really wonderful article Michael, and thank you for the "eulogy" to my editing craftsmanship, as Linz has described it! Truth be told, I got so swept up in what you wrote I forgot all about Linz's suggestion to break it up--so the decision to run it in its entirety was a little serendipitous. This article is one of the gems of SOLO ... thank you.

I am late getting to this. For what ever reason I kept skipping over this article & only decided to tackle it yesterday because I was bored.

And then....I read it.

I have spent the last 24 hours trying to decide how to describe my reaction.

After rummaging through many, many adjectives that all seemed far to pale to use properly, I settled on only one word.

Class.

It is a privlege and an honor to know you Michael Stuart Kelly.

I am unashamedly pleased to see that I can touch you on deep level through my writing. Makes me want to do more.

Very brave, even though I'm sure you didn't intend it to be so. And you're older than my father, Michael, and all the others, so could you all please tell me what to call you? Just a first-name thing sounds too presumptuous
