| | On Glenn Beck's show a few days ago, he talked about the left's descriptor: "State Capitalism," which is how China's current government is often described. The supposition being that "State" is used to distinguish from "Private" or "Global."
He pointed out that the government has control, but doesn't owner that much of the means of production - as would be the case with Communism. And he pointed out that "Capitalism" was of course totally wrong because of the government control.
He said it would be better to refer to China's government as "State Socialism"... but maybe that was too close to "National Socialism" and made the left feel uncomfortable.
