| | Joe, the other strange aspect to all of this twisted thinking is the trend in the sciences to see man as without choice - as a puppet of social forces, his genes, or something other than choosing drives his actions. The left believes we should CHOOSE to accept the idea that there is no choice, and that we should CHOOSE to accept acts of wealth redistribution and 'social justice' to help those who have no choice???
Just as they see freedom only where there is no self-interest, they only see man's ability to choose existing for the purpose of accepting and sanctioning the initiation of force (ending choice) against those who act in their self-interest.

Freedom from simple economic facts, freedom from the terrible burden of having to make choices, freedom from the facts of reality, freedom from the need to expend effort to survive, freedom from the tyranny of reason and logic, freedom from the need to identify one's own motivations, freedom to have one's cake and eat it - all of the drives to far left seem to rest upon a kind of intellectual/emotional anarchy.
