Ted,

How do I make it so that these image-shack hosted images show up as pictures instead of links?

Ed

p.s. I'm using the dreaded IE browser.

I am clueless with IE. Just post whatever you can, even links, to let me see what you are working with.

Okay, here's the blog link for starters:
http://rebirthofreason.com/Spirit/Blogs/93.shtml

It contains the .html commands which I attempted to use -- something like <img_src_yadayadaboomboom>.

Ed

p.s. There was another kind of command, looking like this:

<IMG_yadayadaboomboom_END>

Only it was longer, and it didn't sound like baby-talk.

Just remove the stuff after the close quotation.

The code should read

img src="http://img55.imageshack.us/img55/1183/dscn5221.jpg"

but between brackets, obviously.

The problem is that if you try to do this with IE it will rewrite the underlying source code to show the brackets and the code, but not the picture the code specifies.

In that case, click on view image so that you have a browser page that shows nothing but the image. Then copy the image, and paste it in as you would do any other image using IE. I hope that is clear and works, since I can't test it myself on my mac.

BTW you owe me a sanction for this and for the repeated interrogation of the other thread.

LOL!

Demolition racing is really popular around here, too.  There's always a big one at the 4H fair.  These "racers" spend hours working on their "cars" just so they can smash them up at the race.  It's hilarious.

Do you know anything about the stock cars you drove in the real race?  Were they stock engines?

I've never gotten into it, but know my wife would love to have seen the school bus get creamed. She only refers to them as those "f#&!ng school buses", and gives them a one fingered salute whenever she passes them.

Teresa,

I'm pretty sure that the engines were stock. I've felt the pull of a stock 350 V-8 and this car wasn't any faster.

I'd like to see some Smart buses get into this race, effing big white monstrosities, stopping traffic every few feet on a major highway at 7am to pick up weenies on bicycles.  Effers.
