When we brought Alongside Night to Austin last year, I was encouraged to use all the social media outlets that I could. I posted to Reddit, but found it not as useful as Facebook. Reddit is more like Twitter: everything is short and shallow -- and visibility depends on popularity. New ideas do not get the play that expected events do. Traffic accidents jump to the top of the list. "Did you see that pile-up this morning..." That's Reddit. I would not worry.
But I do see the point. Camus and Sartre wrote fiction.
