The O-Town expression for kicking a**. It started as in this news story of Tuesday, October 30, 2001:
O-Town’s Tour Delayed; Group Sends a Message to Its Street Team
O-Town’s tour with Britney Spears won’t kick off tomorrow in Washington, D.C.; instead, that show has been moved to Dec. 21, and the tour will debut Thursday in Columbus. Elsewhere, O-Town sent an e-mail message to their street team (a group of fans who do grassroots work like calling in to TRL; many groups have street teams) last week. Thanking the street team for its role in helping O-Town’s latest song “We Fit Together” reach the number one spot on TRL, the group wrote, and I swear this is a direct copy-and-paste:
YOU HAVE PROVEN YOUR POINT! :) NOT ONLY ARE YOU KICKING SERIOUS PLUMPY REAR END (like that? we thought it was so funny we have been saying it all day in rehearsals and we had to write it again :)) … BUT YOU ARE NOW THE MOST PROFESSIONAL AND DEDICATED STREET TEAM EXISTING … OTHER MUSIC GROUPS ARE BEGGING US TO HAVE YOU AS THEIR STREET TEAM! … THEIR KNOCKING DOWN OUR DOOR! … BUT YOU KNOW WHAT WE TOLD THEM? … WE SAID, “ SORRY, THIS STREET TEAM IS TAKEN … AND SO IS THE #1 POSITION ON TRL—ALL BECAUSE OF THEM.”
