I'm curious about something. The Daily Objectivist several years back seems to have started the tradition of coming out with something every day, but, if I recall, they had to back off. Unperturbed, both Solo and the Atlasphere promise to post a daily article.

Why?

Especially given the tendency of print publications to fall behind or get repetitious over a year or so, why not try to publish more quality and less quantity. Even Atlasphere has to use syndicated non-Objectivist columnists who aren't writing specifically for it...

So SOLOists have some new content to read while they are having coffee? I don't know that I would come back here every day if there weren't new content - I certainly don't come just to read the forums, although I do follow some threads.

I think of the Free Radical magazine as the monthly, high-quality repository for articles - and I don't feel like the articles in it get repetitive. I think of SOLO as a bit more freewheeling and experimental. I disagree with some of the articles and I find that some are not particularly well-written, but I am still happy to have the opportunity to see thoughts and ideas in progress from people who have some things in common with me.

Keep rocking the fresh daily content!

You don't come here just for the jokes, Phil??  Shocking....

I visit for the wonderfully bright, (mostly) sane people who also happen to enjoy living the Objectivist lifestyle.

The jokes are great in the morning, too.

Arricles was a greek philosopher who believed that excellence was a non-contextual absolute truth that could only be discerned by a noble few.  He believed that an Arbitor from this select group needed to be anointed annually to bestow pronouncements of excellence or lack thereof upon any published work.  He also believed that too many published works was an automatic sign that they were inferior.

Isn't that misspelled?

Isn't that supposed to be Aricles (as in ARI)?

No, the word is "Oracles," i.e., "person[s] giving wise or authoritative decisions or opinions."

Phil,

You are probably correct.  I couldn't resist having fun with the typo.

Luke,

You can't be serious.  If you are, it is the epitome of prosaic.
