I hope someone reading  this can put up some fireworks or a rocket ship in your memory.

It's a pity that "we the thinking" (thanks Nathan) have not as yet reached a critical mass.  Perhaps this little gem that I discovered will cause some authority-ridden folks to give their heads a shake.           www.stormy.org      (fireworks for the brain)

I do want to let your friends know that on the second of February, it is not "my" custom to think about groundhogs looking for their shadows (as some here in the frozen north like to muse).

I look for the sun; and think of the flourishing spring just around the corner.  An omen that portends the time when Objectivism will flourish and all humankind will be free and independent thinkers.

Now it's time to mix the sundowners.

A belated thanks for the fireworks, Robert

I wanted to add something about "following the robes" to the   Ayn Rand and Religion  thread  as support for keeping religion    PRIVATE!   Perhaps interested folks can find it here     www.stormy.org

Also, I wanted to point out the dishonesty of  the pseudo-religious such as  Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh, who are merely part of the covert rule of the wise that Plato warned us about.   Shadia Drury received a Minerva Owl for her revelations about Leo Strauss and the neo-cons in both Canada and the US.  We've had postings on RoR  about this in the past.  It's all related to a hi-jacking of reason.   News about Christians in the White House this week has reminded me of Drury's  articles.  It's Plato's Noble Lie and perpetual war, all over again.

Ted is correct in seeing the efficacy of Objectivists cooperating with each other to create a community and traditions that will be as compelling as those in any traditional church.     Some months ago, a young man published his Objectivist Wedding Vows on RoR or the former SOLO HQ.    That would be an auspicious start.

Apply Jesus' words to Ayn Rand,     Wherever two or more gather in my name,  there I shall be also.

Have to go, I'm packing for South Africa.

BTW did anyone hear Arianna Huffington on NPR this morning say that Ayn Rand would even roll over in her grave, regarding those CEOs who raise their own wages while losing money for their corporations and shareholders.

Government corrupting business corrupting government; exploiting faith and fighting reason; all for the corporate agenda.     Objectivists...... your hour is nigh.
