Greg could also serve as an example of someone who gleefully lacks integrity. He's publicly admitted to stalking a household by secretly filming them and going through their trash. His defense was something along the lines of the household being led by a public figure (Carlos Castaneda) and therefore having no right to privacy. Rationalizing nonsense in support of unethical and probably criminal behavior.

Greg has a Rasputin-like hold over the owner of Objectivist Living, who inexplicably applauds Greg as he peddles mysticism and tautologies in the name of objectivist ideals. Most of the members have complained about how boring and frustrating this makes the forum, but the same standards are not applied to Greg. Hypocrisy runs rampant over there.

In his bizarre and cultish religion, Greg preaches that people only get what they deserve in life (including rape victims, fraud victims, those who died on 9/11, and so on.) So according to his own words, Greg deserves every ill word that is said of him here or anywhere.

I called Greg out on his guru mysticism and unethical behavior on Objectivist Living, and he's free to join in here anytime he wants. Disparaging Greg was one of two reasons why the petty tyrant of Objectivist Living banned me. The other reason was I spoke back to him rather than lie down and take the insults he haughtily dispenses from the safety of his moderator position. If you do in fact decide to visit that blog, be warned in advance that anyone who speaks back to "The Master" is canned in short order.

I mostly banter with Kyle on the music thread, I also reply to Adam Selene, he is a nice fellow.

I also like Brant Gaede who I interacted with from time to time at Solop.

I read anything Stephen B has to say, the man is brilliant beyond words. George Smith too I enjoy reading and it is because of his book Atheism: The Case Against God that I actually became one when I was 18.

For the most part though I don't say much at all....wait ...when do I ever say much at all!? Demmit!

I got along well with all of the people you've listed (except for Greg, who irritates pretty much everyone). I know that I enjoyed and appreciated my conversations with all of them, and I've kept up with some through private messaging.

To my knowledge, not one person complained about my posts on Objectivist Living other than the petty tyrant when I raised my hand back to him in defense. I was heartened that several commenters stuck up for me at the time, saying they found my posts interesting and didn't want me banned.

The petty tyrant speaks for the forum while denouncing those who would speak for others. He denounces bullies, yet is himself the worst bully on his forum. He denounces preaching, yet preaches post after post in long, rambling, normative sermons (read one his droning and repetitive "Kahneman" lectures to learn how backwards your primitive thinking is - but don't worry, The Master can teach you if you're willing to learn).

Conduct a social experiment sometime and tell him he is flat-out wrong in the same harsh terms he uses with his forum members. Tell him he is "full of bullsh*t," and watch the moderation come down like a Marxist hammer.

Just pick any recent thread on Objectivist Living and there is an healthy chance you'll find a 300-word-plus sermon from the site's owner on Thinking Fast and Slow, "cognitive before normative," or Daniel Kahneman. The same condescending regurgitation over and over again. I call it Malcolm Gladwell syndrome - taking a limited but interesting psychology concept and then fanatically popularizing it and misapplying it everywhere and to everything.

I do think K is rather important--his work with Tv is half of my research (forget the MS&PhD, my trajectory and goal is set! Paper chase is merely a footnote).

But because it's my real field of study, I want to stay out of psychology-related discussions...excepting him, of course.

Having read, I'll post both a response and a generic statement as to why he won the Nobel in Econ, and slide it over here.

Warning! It's not really nice because his work directly attacks 'Rational Expectations'. This is not 'dissent', however. Rather, merely the rationale of Stockholm.

PS, my classes are late AM & early PM. I like to work at night...

I see you've begun posting on Objectivist Living, and I couldn't be more supportive. You and the site's owner are cut from such similar cloth, you are sure to be at each other's throats in no time. I'm even about to cancel my HBO subscription in anticipation of the bloodmatch. Be prepared: There Can Be Only One in that church.

In fact, he's already set the tone of the discourse, describing you as a veritable anti-Kahneman destroying RoR with "normative before cognitive" thinking:

"I prefer to cut this crap out at the root. I will not allow this person (or anyone else who thinks like that) turn OL into a snark-fest. Someone really similar to her named "Eva" is doing a great job of destroying any interest intelligent readers may have of keeping up with discussions on RoR. This was in response to your Objectivist Living doppleganger, SoAMadDeathWish, who I no longer feel is the same person, although the coincidence of your synched arrivals is still staggering.

Please, don't be shy in explaining to him why you are the true heir to Kahneman's throne. He likes what he calls "power games."
