Poor, bumbling Jules. You just made my point for me, and you don't even realize it.

In the second half of this thread, I deliberately lowered the level of conversation to the same level at which you routinely post - "butthurt", 3-inch penises, "crying," rape, regurgitating online memes, LOL!-ing at other people's posts - totally devoid of interesting original material or merit. I did this to show you (and others) what would happen if real contributors on this blog, who create original topics, stopped pulling your weight for you in addition to their own.

So you have been in essense arguing with yourself for the past 24 hours, and then you observed that it's boring, repetitive, and there is nothing valuable to be had in it.

Well, yes, I very much agree with your observation. You are the lowest-IQ poster on RoR, you originate no topics and exclusively respond to others, you repeat your same illogical arguments ad nauseum (such as cops who write parking tickets being heroes, but policy attorneys who reduce regulatory impact being leeches). Above all, you are a bore.

So ruminate on that for a while.

Also Jules, you may be interested to know that I spent my first three years in government specifically dealing with oil and chemical companies, so I know a lot of seedy details about your employer of which you probably aren't aware (or if you are, then you're complicit - leech).

In addition to receiving massive public subsidies (billions with a "b"), polluting the environment, and killing their own employees through negligence at startling rates, oil companies aggressively lobby government at all levels for special privileges, avoid their taxes, and abuse the regulatory process to stifle competition. So while you might enjoy telling yourself you're working for Rearden Steel, the reality is quite a bit more messy (as it usually is compared to your absolutist, black-and-white thinking).

I agree with Teresa and all of the others that are tired of Robert's obsession with other forums. Robert, if you want to keep talking about that, go make your own forum like everyone else. No more posts on the subject of OL, MSK, or even indirect references like how online forums should be conducted. Take your grievances elsewhere.

I do not recall ever mentioning your name on OL, nice to know you are stalking me there too though. As to what American oil companies do it is not my concern I am in Canada they have a far better track record. 1200 ducks died in a tailings pond up in northern Alberta and the international community blows a gasket.

How many billions of barrels of oil off the Gulf of Mexico...hardly a word after they finally capped it. As for any company being able to keep more of their profits from being looted? Good for them.
