One disturbed young man, socially rejected and taking it harshly, did. The 'solution' that is floating around like a stinking turd is based on his observation that, if only the police had tossed his house when they showed up, they would have found all of his weapons. (And then what? Being found guilty of being armed while holding unpopular opinions or thoughts?) So to be clear, in a nation of some 320 million people, the solution to making sure that a fringe disturbed few never project mayhem is to turn our nation into an intrusive police state where cops are forever tossing homes based on any whim or suspicion whatsoever, and when they find weapons, they can void future acts of senseless fringe violence by doing something with those weapons. So, 320 million acts of having the police toss homes on an as needed basis as a small price to pay to avoid the fringe instances of sad sacks wigging out.
