Over 200 novels, eh? See what greatness TV and the internet distracts us from?

The Three Musketeers is the only one I have read so far. It was a fun read. No where near the depth and power of Hugo's stuff but still very good. I here good things about The Count of Monte Cristo.

What Dumas have you read Jeff?

TheThree Musketeers alone is part of a series of adventures, comprising at least three other books, including The Man in the Iron Mask... then there is Margot.... these seem to be the only ones I've seen in bookstores... Penguin Classics, among others, has them im print.... all are interesting.....

That's exciting news. The Count of Monte Cristo is my second favorite novel of all time, behind Pride and Prejudice.

Dumas would, presumably, not have objected to the additions. It is now widely accepted that most of his works were written, or re-written, by ghost-writers based on his original ideas.
Wow! So it is not a new phenomenon at all!

No - he was rather regarded as piling out the books, by a factory system almost, by his critics..... but of course, was very popular - consider, that in that age, where was all handwritten, quite the accomplishment with fertile ideas...

Lance,
Sorry to take so long to answer your question; I missed the last sentence.

The answer is:
All 200, of course. (Just kidding.)

I've read Man In The Iron Mask, Three Musketeers, and Count of Monte Cristo and one or two other lesser known titles I don't recall just now. And I'll be trying to get my hands on that 201st. It sounds exciting.
