That screen triggered a migraine.  Maybe we need a federal agency to regulate website designers.  (Oh.... sorry... I don't what came over me... must be this headache.)

Imagine, if during past wars, we used terms such as "Radical Nazism", "Extremist Shinto" and "Militant Communism". Those who use terms other than "Islam" create the impression that it's some variant of Islam that's behind the enemy that we're facing. A term such as "Militant Islam" is redundant, but our politicians continue praising Islam as if it were their own religion. Bush told us, "Islam means peace" -- after 2,996 Americans were murdered in its name. ... Washington's defense of Islam has trumped the defense of America and this dereliction of duty could well be called Islamgate.

Just right after they stand up to Christianity.

Face it. Islam is the religion we love to hate because we can stand on our rational empircal soap boxes and amuse ourselves without insulting our neighbors.

No one likes atheists.  We are hated even more than used car salesmen, lawyers and politicians.  Homosexuals are tolerated.  Heck, they can marry legally just like normal people and where they cannot, you can at least discuss the issue.  Try discussing atheism -- or more to the point, try telling the next person you meet that all of the world's problems are caused by believing in God.  You want to write letters to Congress?  Politics rests on metaphysics.  You know that.  A is A. Do not evade reality or it will wipe out the evader.

What you need to do is stand in front of a church after services and hand out leaflets explaining the Law of Identity and what it really means.   Well, that would be one way to meet your Maker in a hurry.

Everything you say about Islam applies to Christianity.

Ignorance, superstitition, hatred, harm, evil death cults, both of them.  The Jews are tolerable. Barely.  At least with two Jews you get three opinions.  Buddhists, I can live with.

Hindus are morons.  My god is an elephant, well, not an actual elephant, he just appears to me as an elephant which symbolizes strength and wisdom.  "OK, what does your elephant tell you?"  He tells me to blow up this other guy's temple and burn my mother alive when my father dies.

Islam and Christianity will continue their wars.  We do not have to participate.  It does not concern us.  We do not need to take sides. ... unless you want to get in the middle of the Hindus and Sikhs over whose temple belongs on which ground.  (Indira Gandhi was assassinated over that.)

You never got "Wegenerites" blowing up the bierstubes of geologists who denied continental drift.  Why is that?  First we thought humans at 48 chromosomes, then 46 -- and no one was assassinated to bring that about.  We know about the frauds of Victor Ninov and Jan Hendrik Schoen and Eric Poehlman because we have standards of proof.

Hold Islam and its apologists to those standards, but, apply them also, in your own life.  Before you denounce Islam to your convenience, try telling your Christian neighbors what you really think of them.

Myself, as I said, we read ourselves into our books.  Muslim, Christian, Communist, Objectivist, there's good people and bad people in every group.

But as for the actual belief systems, you have be consistent in your judgments in order to be moral in your life.

Michael, I presume from your response that you read the essay but didn't listen to the radio interview. Chuck Devore conducts an intelligent interview in which Bosch explains the differences between Christianity and Islam and just why Islam is a much greater threat. They discuss both the history and philosophy behind both religions.
