I don't normally watch Glen Beck, but I won't miss tomorrow's episode.

Luke,

Ed did a great job!

Ed's strongest line -- the kind of a line that knocks you back a few feet and forces a concentration all of your attention -- was when he confidently said something almost exactly like this:
We are in a "Civil War" in this country right now, between the producers and the expropriators. We have to take the moral high-ground and define the issue in moral terms.
Ed

p.s., Awesome job, Ed! I wish that there was more time for this round-table discussion. With 5 of you guys there, it seemed like people (e.g., you!) were getting cut-off due to time constraints. That was frustrating for me to watch. I can only imagine how it felt. You still managed to get great points across and advance the discussion in a purposefully-revelatory manner.

If Glenn Beck ever gets Yaron Brook and Ed Hudgins on the same show at the same time I will call him a worker of miracles.

Thanks Ed! It was a fun show. There's never enough time on such shows. But unlike most, this one was a whole hour, which meant I was able to get in some good points. By the way, they weren't able to get a social conservative for the show, otherwise there would have been a lot more disagreement.

Luke - I've met with Yaron Brook or seen him at events on a number of occasions. Some years ago we had several meetings, along with John Allison and John Aglialoro, at my behest to discuss our differences. But Yaron was clear that he thinks there's room for only one Objectivist group: ARI.

Still, ARI has come around to the TAS approach, working with or dealing with other groups. In fact, last time I saw Yaron was at the Cato annual dinner in May.

Cheers!

Sadly, OCON 2011 had its share of "David Kelley bashing" sound bites. I could have done without that. The rest was good, though.
