Luke, I hate to be the one to rain on this parade, but the Daily Currant is a far-left satirical on-line newspaper.

The House should impeach Obama, but no way that is going to happen except in my fantasies, and in the far-left's satire.

Okay, thanks for the clarification. As crazy as things have gotten in DC, nothing surprises me. Sorry for the clutter.

In my own defense, Wikipedia cites another article that supports their statement: "A number of its satirical stories have been taken for true news reports by press and members of the public."

Can an administrator delete this altogether?

The people who put that together did everything they could to make it look real. I really don't like the kind of people who try to fool people, who smuggle their political views out hidden as humor, and then smirk at the results of their antics. Much of what they write is really just attacks on people they don't like.

Only the Senate can impeach the President. The trial is presided by the Chief Justice.
Article I Section 3.

Article 1 Section 2 says that the House of Representatives has sole power of Impeachment, but the context is clearly a reference only to their own members, whereas I-3 mentions the President explicitly.

Marotta, didn't you notice that that was just a satire. The President is NOT being impeached. Look at the post Merlin just submitted.

And, you are wrong about impeachment of the President. Here is Wikipedia's summary: The impeachment process is a two-step procedure. The House of Representatives must first pass, by a simple majority of those present and voting, articles of impeachment, which constitute the formal allegation or allegations. Upon passage, the defendant has been "impeached". Next, the Senate tries the accused. [My emphasis]

Once the house votes in favor of the articles of impeachment, the president is impeached, but unless the Senate finds the president guilty, he retains office.

I appreciate the site administrators removing the errant news link that I initially posted though evidently this forum retains the ensuing discussion posts.

Lesson learned: Be more diligent than ever regarding news item verification.

A whole bunch of very smart people missed this on Facebook, too, thinking it was real.

I'm sure that those people who put that site up take great joy in fooling people - very juvenile of them, and not Luke's fault at all.
