| | Hope, BC....well, there's a Ritz Carlton down by the general store...actually, I think that aside from a motel 6, motel 8, motel 3, and the best western, we're looking at nada within town. The retreat center I mentioned has modern appliances, central heating, and working restrooms, but I wouldn't say they're glold-plated and fluffled. (and the place is entirely vegetarian, which resulted in much outcry for herring, lox, and assorted canned fish while I was there). There's no huge city right there, but there are hotsprings right down the street and some great hiking grounds. There are some great places in Vancouver and Victoria though that are urban while also just lovely (and can be cheap enough too). Any other thoughts?
