I'm a big Nietzsche fan with "fan" being the exact word for it. He amazes me with the richness of his writing (and in translation to boot!). He guides me to think in ways I hadn't considered. And I believe him to be one of the few philosophers of note to be genuinely benevolent in his character. He would have wanted me to live a full and relevant life. He would have loved to sit in a Starbucks until 5 AM talking about music and women. I especially like Human, All Too Human (A Book for Free Spirits) because somehow I have become one. Nietzsche isn't a guy I go to seeking an answer but he stimulates the hell out of my own creativity.
This quote is from the middle aphorisms of Beyond Good and Evil I do believe. Thanks for posting it, Steven.
