I had no idea Penn could be such a statesman. This was great, Ed.

That was soooooo juicy! I really liked his chalkboard diagram-explanation of anarchy vs totalitarianism and were everything today sits within the diagram.

I figured that this would get a good reception.

It is amazing how much of a statesman Penn is -- almost like he was channeling Ayn Rand or something. And I agree that that chalkboard at the beginning was awfully enlightening. Beck has a new fiction book called Agenda 21, modelled after the real-life version of the same name, advocated by the United Nations. Interestingly, after Beck ran a show about it, the government is trying to shut down public access to the details of this public policy. A caller tipped-off Beck & Co. while they were doing a subsequent show and they went online to verify -- the original .pdf files to Agenda 21 were disappearing. It reminds me of that government document put out 4 years ago -- saying that white males returning from combat are our nation's biggest threat.

That document "disappeared" too, shortly after it became public knowledge. One day I was able to view it, and the next day the link was gone. Trying to govern against the will of the people is getting harder and harder to do, now that we've entered the Information Age. There may even come a day where socialists are unable to get away with it anymore.

Ed

Great video, Ed!

Before watching this video, I didn't have much of an opinion of Penn. Now I think he is a guy I can respect.

He makes great points about the fight for freedom. He connects the right to free speech to private property rights. And understands the proper role of government.

My favorite part was when Glenn and Penn discussed the way to advance freedom. Penn's comments about uniting under the banner of freedom were very poignant.

Among the Progressives' greatest weapons is alienation.

"Y'know, that Ayn Rand was an atheist; she was also pro-choice. How can you support her?"

At this point many freedom-lovers would turn red with embarrassment. They should answer "Because I love freedom".

I also know of a few Objectivists who would benefit if they stopped arguing over minor philosophical differences and pursued freedom.

Awesome video. Funny timing with this post as I was recently told I should watch his show "Penn and Teller: Bullshit!" and until then I didn't even know who he was. Has anyone read Penn's new book?
