 | Long overdue, this is an important book, giving the authoritative studies, history, anthropology, cultural which have upheld a contention I have had for many years - namely that teenagers are young adults, NOT children, and that this artificial extention of childhood is a consequence of Deweyism and unionism which sought to remove the young from competition with older adults as long as possible..... even the supposed psychological studies claiming immaturity in brain development are actually reversing cause/effect - namely that it is the infantilizing of the beings beyond their natural time which has infantilized the brains, not that such is the natural order of development..... well worth looking into, even if disagreements with some of the positions given and/or solutiuons, for there is much meat to chew on here, and hard facts to not ignore..... |
