| I was listening to the socialist radio station, am950 KTNF, and Mark Heaney was taking callers. A caller who identified himself as "Doug" called in to say that Obama's policies are socialist, the country is going wrong, and that capitalism didn't cause our current crisis. Mark called him a Bush-ite or something and "Doug" threw Bush under the bus (where he belongs) and defended his political independence. He said to Mark, "I'm a Milton Friedman, Ayn Rand Objectivist!" Then, after a pause, he asked Mark those seven, fateful words ... "Do you know who Ayn Rand is?" There was silence on the other end of the line. It was a "Who-is-John-Galt?"-moment! Mark never admitted to knowing who Ayn Rand is/was. But that didn't stop Doug. Doug kept hammering away at Mark about how the country has moved from what the Founding Fathers founded. Doug was on the line for several minutes defending capitalism (on a socialist radio show!). It was so cool. | ||
