Description

I am a computer game programmer when I'm not spending my time making websites as weapons in the war to win men's minds. I ran for Congress in California's 15th district in the November 2002 election (archived campaign site), and am the co-author of Importance of Philosophy, and the designer of this web site.

I am now working for Star Sonata, a massively multiplayer online space trading game.

Star Wars IV: A New Hope
Star Wars IV: A New Hope (1977)

Starring: Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Alec Guinness
Director: George Lucas

An epic battle of good versus evil in which young Luke Skywalker finally gets off his families desert farm and gets involved in events much grander than he could ever have hoped for.  Rescuing a space-princess, comedic robots, epic space-battles... what more could you want in a movie?  Definitely positive sense of life.

The Fountainhead
The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand

This is Ayn Rand's first popular novel which brought her fame and a large following. "It is the story of a gifted young architect, his violent battle against conventional standards, and his explosive love affair with a beautiful woman who struggled to defeat him." (back cover) It shows man as a heroic being: Howard Roark, the perfect Egoist.

Les Miserables

This is the definitive Les Mis. In 1990, the best singers from Les Miserables productions from around the world got together and recorded this wonderful 3 CD version of the musical. It has the whole thing, all the way through. The lyrics are great, the music is great, and the passion is great. I originally had the cassette version, but I wore the t... (See the whole review)
