John, John, John. (As I shake my head)

I so don’t see music or painting in this way. It reminds me of comparing a whale to a duck. Saying that music doesn’t have stories or figures is like saying that whales do not fly...its true but not exactly relevant. Hmmm, ducks and whales...that is what I keep coming back to. Ducks and whales, they do not go about existence in identical fashion rather they exist within their natures. So there you have it.

P.S. Do you think my post has too much of a Kandinskian flavor to it? Too abstract? Hmmm, perhaps more like Gauguin, because I am making a point, just in a flat, off-beat way.

Michael, Michael, Michael (as I shake my head), always has to be the one who keeps a clear head. ;-)

I am thinking about sticking a bunch of electrodes into the different parts of your brain, and record the brain waves as you look at paintings and sculptures, listen to music, or read novels, or whatever. I am sure the pattern will be very different from that of mine. ;-)

Ever wonder why someone like Bryan Larsen or Danielle Anjou don't post here {and yes, they are aware of this site} ?

Robert, that's a very strange question. Why should one wonder whether or not they post here? (No, I never wondered.)

Hong, which of us has the clear head?

Ah that is just a pretense of a scientist. What you really want is just to have me hooked up to a bunch of electrodes in a glass-enclosed space and you stand outside in your white lab coat at the controls!

Careful - sometimes 'clear' head mean empty head...

Robert,

Speaking of clear heads, I also wondered about your post #42?

That is a thoroughly depressing thought Robert.
