On the subject of broast,
which I don't mean to boast,
I still like the breast,
and I still like the toast.

I can't deny,
that I'm dying to try,
a nice bit of tit,
on a fine piece of rye.

This delectable taste,
should not go to waste.
Don't pop your cork
in unfortunate haste.

It is quite trite,
to take a bite
without her consent,
that just isn't right!

If you're willing to dare,
and she's willing to bare,
then you're in for a treat.

Bon appétit

This article just came up as a random article. It's timing is certainly ironic. Maybe rereading it will put some things in perspective. Hopefully?

Still ironic after all these years. But enough pining for the past...
“Where is the food section of SOLO?!  You people have the audacity to talk about a sense of life without food and wine?!  Blasphemy!”  The rest has unfolded before your eyes.

The Food Forum here is not very active. One other Objectivish sites has one, also, but that is not active, either.

You start talking about enjoying your food and the next thing is someone tells you that you are turning your brain to stone and your pancreas to muck and you need to eat what they do.

I just refreshed the olive oil in the fridge: half a pint of extra vigin with four cloves of garlic chopped fine and a full teaspoon of powdered ginger.  (Out of fresh; just using up what's in the jar.)  I use it to fry, for instance, yams.  I steam the yams first, then fry them.

Usually, I don't care much for food. I would be happy to take four pills a day with water.  But every now and then... Like the time I was watching The Godfather.  When they got to the cooking scene, I had to stop, make spaghetti, and catch up with them later.

Personally, I prefer beer - IPAs - but I never met a red wine that did not like.  The other day, though, my head was almost turned by a stack of Coffee Stout Beer on sale; it would be a toss-up against the Chocolate Oatmeal Stout. You need a good breakfast to start the day right...  But, alas,... no... back to pills and water...

MEM,

Paleo diet can be quite palatable-- especially when you douse your veggies and meat with grass fed butter.

I was wrong about The Kitchen over on MSK's Objectivist Living. I found it fairly active and added two recipes of my own.

Dean, I agree that fresh foods are palatable.
