| | "Alternative energy sources" is ONLY viable if gendered without subsidy - which is why such as ethanol is bunkum, since is NOT a viable source, being MUCH more expensive per energy produced than that 'stinking oil', and others such as windmills, figuring in cost of making [and the energy cost involved as well], are likewise MORE expensive, to say nothing of limited usability.... and as for nuclear power, the claiming of it being 'subsidized' is a countering to the much fear-mongered over-regulatedness involved in the making of the plants [otherwise, there'd had been many more - uniformed and cost-effective, built back in the 70's when Westinghouse was planning making offshore reactors]...
