Hah!

Marty,

One of the first quick skims I do when I open the SOLO page is for jokes you've posted.
(You can keep your poetry ;-) ;-) Kidding!)

I was right to suppose you'd be a fine addition to the SOLO pages  when we met and you told Andrew and I that you'd be getting more involved.

For those who haven't met him, Marty is great fun. He tells a joke a minute and was so funny that even *I* was happy to be silent, listen and be entertained. Look forward to seeing Marty at SOLOC5, with luck.

Your first beer is on me. Thanks for the plug.

Seriously, I am enjoying SOLO very much. I wish I knew about TOC and other benevolent objectivists years ago when I ran into the wrong crowd.

Christ, Marty, if you managed to silence Bates, I now believe in virgin births.

Mind you, I have to say that one of my pet peeves is people who tell jokes non-stop, on & on & on (YAWN). That means, unfortunately, that when we meet I shall have to knock your teeth out. Nothing personal, strictly business, you understand. :-)

Linz: Just show me my tax bill, and I'll remain silent. I told the IRS to take me off their mailing list, but it didn't work.

Marty, I don't know who was at a greater loss, you (who lacked the company of passionate & benevolent Objectivists), or the Objectivist movement (who lost the chance to know someone with your wit and zest for life). Either way, it's great to see you rejoining the fold.

Thanks, Andrew, for the kind words, but 'twas I who suffered. I was in exile, especially working at the University of North Korea.

;-)
