| | Bravo to Matthew's Post 9. It's made clear in the series that Kaylee and Inara both excel in their chosen fields, so that's not really a good basis of comparison. Kaylee's folksy sorta-shy-but-really-very-sexual persona is very appealing, but I'm also drawn to Inara's more cultured cosmopolitanism. I suppose if you put a gun to my head and forced me to choose, I'd go with Inara ... I'd prefer someone I could discuss art and philosophy and sense-of-life with and not get blank stares or "Aw, shucks!" answers in reply.
But I'm appalled that you have all neglected to mention River! It's hard to notice because she spends so much of the series and the movie in the throes of government-induced madness, but she's actually quite an intriguing (and *wonderfully* lithe) character. And a psychic? Just imagine the possibilities. She could read your mind and know exactly what you wanted, at any given moment. If that wouldn't make for a memorable night in the sack, I don't know what would.
