| | Scott, I don't think that anyone here is saying each individual person who is a self identified m^slim is a killer himself. The argument is that isl^m is a violent political creed, whether it is a religion or not, and that it cannot be freely practiced according to its own tenets, because its own tenets call for violence, religious war, and religious dictatorship. A good analogy would be communism. Not all communists themselves were KGB members, but communist party members who wouldn't kill someone themselves might certainly act as a snitch, remain passive in the face of communist violence, and so forth.
Those same polls that show that most m^slims wouldn't blow themselves up also show that a majority of those polled still think that those who have blown themselves up are martyrs and good mu^lims.
