Very nicely said.  Now Apple just needs to say all of that.

Good article.

What also needs saying is that it is the politicians who by maintaining this idiotic tax code, keep trillions of dollars offshore that would otherwise rush to this country and have the effect of rapidly decreasing unemployment, spurring massive investment, R&D, business expansion and generally providing an almost instant jump from a weak recovery that could collapse at any time to booming economies.

Even if a person believes that there should be some taxes, it ought to be clear that they should not be on businesses. Businesses don't "pay" taxes, they only collect them at the expense of increased prices to consumers, reduced employment, deferred expansion, reduced R&D, and/or reduced returns to the owners.

Competition is increasingly global in this age; and money can cross international borders at the speed of a mouse click. Every tax on businesses keeps dollars out of our country's economies - impoverishing us and for no reason but, as Ed's article points out, to favor special interests in exchange for political support.

SW:  Businesses don't "pay" taxes, they only collect them at the expense of increased prices to consumers...
An argument also made by insightful leftwingers.  Taxes should only be on real persons.
