I agree with Robert, this one I like!

I find it difficult to appreciate poetry generally, however this one gained my attention immediately, kept me reading and enjoying. It has a stirring spirit to it that is missing in other works, perhaps explains why I have difficulty with poetry.

I do not take  to poetry naturally.

My usual response to a poem is something like, "this is too much work -- why can't the guy say what he means in plain English?"

You see I have, at best, rudimentary skill in working at a poem in order to produce the pleasure its images provide.

Anyway, this one  is one of the few that I find to be simply beautiful, magnificent and thoroughly fulfilling (and it didn't require much work to be moved by it!).

I'm going to print it out and put it over my desk.

Bravo, man!
