I voted for the "Already Tried" option.

I think that the influx of "bodacious tata's" (source: forgotten) has to do with a general disappointment with the mainstream (read: popular) enthusiasts--who've lost their "mo-jo" in a battle for "political correctness."

I--for one--am not complaining about said influx; but am merely commenting on its antecedent condition(s).

I think that it is the charming and perceptive SOLO women that are daily contributing such as Jennifer, Hong and Kelly that have created an environment here through their active input into SOLO parenting, SOLO food and SOLO romance that attract other women.

SOLO gay men such as Jason Dixon may also be attracting some of their heterosexual female friends as well.

Anyway, it's all good :-)

I'm quite touched. Seriously.

Whoever did this poll, a very warm thank you from both Kat and myself.

And yes, the magic is powerful, the love is wonderful and Solo is where it happened.

If we did it, all you new single girls can (and guys too, but you don't count in this poll).

Try not to purr if you don't have really tenacious fiber for heartstrings, though. You have to pay some heavy-ass dues for purring privileges around here...

And then is  also possible to find one in the big wide world, outside SOLO or any similar places...... I did, with the delightful discovery of someone who on her own figured out much the same as Rand wrote, but never heard of Rand until I suggested to her to read [in german translation] Atlas Shrugged........ and is delighted at what is in the book..... such is my love, Christina, from Germany, who is coming to see/be with me June 11......

I am guilty of creating the poll.

Robert, congratulations, and good luck with your Christina!

Michael, you're certainly welcome--its nice to see honest, bold affection between people!

I haven't voted, yet, but I am definitely tending towards either the Dixon option or or spontaneous generation...

I voted for the "Already Tried" option because I consider "Ayn Rand Meetup" a part of that list.  Their loss becomes our gain.

Well, Scott, I have to thank you for including me in the possible causes.  To think, fans - misinformed or not, that's something ;-)

Thank you for the compliment, Marcus.

Well, Jennifer, I was, for a brief time, the SOLO Homo.  Then I got demoted to a mere 'leader.'  Maybe a sign of winds changing?  ;-)  David Elmore has accused me elsewhere of being a closet hetero, after all.

You know, Jason, that if you attributed your miraculous transformation into hetero to Objectivism that SOLO would see its member numbers SOAR with a bunch of fundamentalist Christians, hailing it as a great philosophy...until they got here and actually took a look around...

All well and good, Scott, but there would have to be a transformation first.  It'd be some sort of miracle, probably, like transubstantiation or something.  Errr, I guess maybe that would bring the Christians, too?

Scott,
You should be around more. I think THAT certainly would make the number of female SOLOists soar.

BTW, I once was just a "thoughtful guy" and planed to remain that way, but Marcus exposed me here. ;-) Oh well.

How come the poll doesn't have a category, "Bidinotto cast-offs"?

(Just kidding, ladies, just kidding!!!

It is distracting to have so many hotties around.

Makes it harder to argue with a JJ, Jennifer, Hong, or Jason because they're so damned huggable.

I think the influx is due to benevolence. Men like to debate and persuade and *win* on most forums. That tendency is here but to a lesser degree. Perhaps that encourages more women, who seem interested in actually enriching their lives as opposed to winning a pissing contest, to come to SOLO.

Thanks, John.  :-)

I agree, benevolence is certainly a factor I'm sure.  Though there are flare-ups and rancor, there's also much good-natured humor and good-will.

Yeah, Jennifer, there was another adjective but he was afraid it wouldn't make it through people's internet filters.  ;-)

ahhh, Robert, your Christina is from Germany? Where exactly does she come from? Since, I am German, too, it is healthy to see that others share certain aspects of life, which are (sadly) mostly absent in Germany.

Just for your information, I am from Karlsruhe (Baden-Württemberg), if this helps you ;)

John, I was glad to see you include Jason with the list of women. It's time he was put back in his place as high priestess.

He's been puttin' the moves on Jennifer, but it's a transparent ploy to get her to cook for him.

Not that there wouldn't be LOTS of other reasons for any true hetero, Jennifer, but NOT for her highness.
