The salient point is that most people consider religion good and prostitution bad.

Even here on RoR, we tolerate the religious.  However, about five years ago, less tolerance was shown to a sex worker.  

Objectivists say that they admire Aquinas.  They do not tout sex entrepreneurship.  But see Penn & Teller here:

Yes, and that is because with the exception of contemporary outshoots, all religions have been, from historical times, patriarchal - which essentially views the female's purpose as submissive and for procreation... the old pagan religions, which were matriarchal, and had vestal temple women, and celebrated the female's sexuality - were despised, as they considered that sex of equal or more than the male, something to which the patriarchal could not abide, as it would unravel their power structuring...

One could say the matriarchal religions celebrated life, while the patriarchal ones feared death...

Actually, I did offer support for sex entrepreneurship in my review of the television series Cathouse a few years ago on this site.
