You know, I got my issues VERY late, and definitely have missed some months. I didnt bitch and moan about it, though, because I wasn't sure if it was international mail, the US Postal Service, or a bad mailman at my new Oak Park residence as the culprit! Congratulations on getting rid of the knuckleheads!

What's the frequency Kennet ... errr, Lindsay?

For gold's sake how are the P I Show loyalists to boost the ratings of this radio station if we don't know which one to listen to and when?

Oh and bah, humbug, grumble, grumble ... congratulations!.
This may yet turn out to be quite a good year for freedom in NZ.;-) ;-)

It won't be a PI Show as such - just me being a regular presenter. I forget what RP's Auckland frequency is - I'm sure it's not beyond your capacity to find out, Andrew.

Everybody - re articles: it occurs to me that some of you might want to write Thanksgiving-orientated articles given that it's coming up. Feel free (in every respect!).

SOLOists,

The next issue of the Free Radical is going to be something stunning. It's an Ayn Rand Centenary celebration with articles by Lindsay Perigo, Chris Sciabarra, Tibor Machan and plenty of the usual SOLO supects! Not only is it an excellent introduction to The Free Radical, it stands alone as a veritable primer on Ayn Rand and Objectivism. The Free Radical is, quite simply, the best Objectivist magazine out there. It's sexy, stylish and substantial. Its contains the musings of some of the best minds in Objectivism. It's also truly internationalist, with authors and articles from across the globe. Quite frankly, other magazines on offer in the Objectivist/libertarian world are pale in comparison. There is no comparison. You can subscribe here.

Re SOLO announcements:  did I miss the memo that disbanded SOLOF?  It seems to have been eaten by Yahoo.  Just curious.

Jeremy - the announcement was made on SOLOF-Yahoo itself a couple of days ago. It had outlived its usefulness given the huge success of all the Forums here. I killed Yahoo this morning.

I should add to this thread that the editorial in the Rand Centenary FreeRad will be a *guest* editorial by Rand biographer, our very own Writer-in-Residence, Barbara Branden.

At long last I have received my starter collection of Free Rads.  Upon initial scanning of the tables of contents, I was thoroughly impressed with the range of topics covered -- I had no idea how broad the scope of the magazine was.  I have only made it through a couple of articles so far, but can't wait to get to the rest.  Well done!

I also see that Linz has taken quite a bit of creative license in creating contributors' bylines -- five marriage proposals, indeed.  :P

Linz, I'm so glad that there will be less New Zealand politics in forthcoming Free Radicals. Not that I have anything against New Zealand, but this did make the magazine less attractive to an American public, especially since the assumption was that readers already knew a good deal about New Zealand issues, which Americans do not. I think that if it deals with, as you say, politics around the world,(including New Zealand) plus the other wonderful material it contains, it should do very well in the United States. The other Objectivist magazines are not very thrilling, and the market is wide open for the Free Radical. I, for one, will push it here for all I'm worth, and I hope that other American Soloists do the same.

Ah! I wondered what'd happened to it - that group did seem to be petering out, didn't it?
