Thanks, Ed.  Last  year at this time, my wife and daughter bought me a telescope. I pretty much knew what to expect, having owned several over the years, and having used college and university observatories.  Still, the first time I looked into it, I had to say, "My God, it's full of stars." I spent the winter with the Belt of Orion and the summer with the Teapot of Sagittarius. But I also own a microscope... The two views are connected.
