Description

I work as a computer engineer for my parents' company. I plan to stay on and grow the company with them. I have a couple of columns up at The Atlasphere too. I love miniskirts and the smell of money. I recently took on learning how to draw. I would love to be able to create grand paintings, ironically putting myself in scenes depicting Dagny or Roark or a Mercedes. Think "Bellini." $

A Little Romance
A Little Romance (1979)

Starring: Laurence Olivier, Diane Lane, Thelonious Bernard
Director: George Roy Hill

William Orbit

Not your father's "Switched on Bach"... William Orbit takes a modern synth approach to classics by Barber, Beethoven and Vivaldi without going the disco "Hooked on Classics" approach (or its modern day equivalents like the BOND girls...). Some may love it, purists may hate it, but it is interesting to see technology enable the individual t... (See the whole review)

What's wrong with choice, and letting people exercise it? What's wrong with a cornucopia of choices, an abundance of options, a profusion of possible housing choices? Why can't you leave people alone to choose for themselves their own manner of living? When you strip away the veneer of buzzwords surrounding the planners' latest fads, you're left with the express intent that these people don't like the choices you make about how to live, and they will make you pay any price to avoid letting you do so. An eccentric philosophy professor gave a one question final exam after a semester dealing with a broad array of topics.  The class was already seated and ready to go when the professor picked up his chair, plopped it on his desk and wrote on the board: ...... "Using everything we have learned this semester, prove that this chair does not exist."  F... (Read More)

(Quotes) I'm passionately involved in life - to be alive, to have music, to walk, to see - it's all a miracle. Music is not a hobby not even a passion. Music is me.

(Quotes) Once again Paul Krugman has failed to win the Nobel Prize in economics. This year's winners are Robert J. Aumann and Thomas C. Schelling, "for having enhanced our understanding of conflict and cooperation through game-theory analysis." Why them, and not Krugman? One clue is Aumann's academic affiliation. He is with the Center for Rationality at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Krugman isn't at the center of anything. And he has nothing to do with rationality.
