Who is Adam Reed?
Indeed, a tricky question, even using Google. My initial conclusion was that Adam Reed is actually an actor, noted for his work in the "Sealab" series:
You can see why I was drawn to this- in addition the gray hair, eyepatch, the general bone structure and fleshtones allowed me to determine that he resembled a Caucasian male that, what with having the same number of ears, eyes, nose, and even if not especially mouth, bears a striking resemblence. How "ironic" that he played a scientific type.
But, alas, going to the movie databases, I realized that this was Adam Reed III, and clearly we are dealing with one, and only one Adam Reed. Dig deep, I told my psyche, dig deep. Fortunately, memory came to serve. Or so I thought...
I was convinced that it was one of these guys:
But that fell apart quickly. I was confusing the character ("Jim Reed") with the series (Adam-12). And, if anything, it would've been the guy on the left- stretchy, that, even doing a forensic "roll-back-the-clock" comparison sketch of the one photo we do have of our Adam Reed.
Back to basics. Sometimes, people get too obtuse when they use search engines. Why not go to www.adam-reed.com? And what do I find, but:
Now, we're getting some paydirt. Clearly, this is some kind of crude self-portrait, in the form of a facial casting.
I rest my case.
