| | Andy, Linz,
Of course I apologize - I was absolutely wrong, and now that I know this for a fact, all I can do is thank you guys for calling me on it. A wham of a coincidence - one Andy citing his Catholic background, the other a graduate of Aquinas College and so on.
When I say I apologize, I don't consider it a repeatable formula. I've learned from the experience, and it won't happen again. I should have known better, and now I do.
Of cause I thank the rest of you for the humor. I deserved being the butt of it, and a self-made butt at that. Dis - ass - ter. At least I laughed hard enough that my head popped right out of where it was not supposed to be in the first place.
And Andy - thank you for explaining where your attitude toward Christianity comes from. I came to America late enough in my life that I never learned to pay any attention to race. In my life, I've been the object of bigotry mainly as an Atheist, and that bigotry mainly came from Christians. I guess I needed a reminder that other men have experienced prejudice from other quarters and for other "reasons."
To all, thank you for the learning experience. I'll just have to put it to good use.
