My fellow SOLOists,
In an absurd situation like this, the most a rational person could want is to have the truth be known. By rebuking the instigator of this thread and then poking fun at what he did, you honored the truth. Because that was to my benefit, I thank all of you.
I do not need an apology, and I want one even less. Other than the minor annoyance of having to state the obvious about myself, I cannot truthfully claim any offense from what Reed did. He’s been obsessed with the idea that I’m dishonest since I began participating in this forum a few months ago. I handled him with both good humor and sharp words, as the situation dictated. Neither worked, so I have dismissed him as irretrievably irrational on the subject. There’s nothing he can say about me at this point that I would give a damn about.
Because that’s the case, it would be dishonest of me to accept redress of an insult I refused to take. However, I do think Reed owes apologies to others. The first is to the Andy Postema of the Legacy Academy, whose reputation Reed maligned in his mad obsession with me. The second is to Linz and Joe for polluting their forum to that end, especially after all of the goodwill they have repeatedly extended to the man. This is where I believe justice demands a remedy.
